Leap Motion is going to enter the mobile VR market

The co-founder and chief technology officer at Leap Motion, David Holz, talked about the coming adaptations to hands tracking technology.

The company is going to integrate Leap Motion Mobile Platform, as it is called, to mobile VR headsets which work with smartphones.

Developers have widened the viewing angle from 140x120 to a maximum of 180x180 degrees. Also, the team “needed to build a whole new Leap Motion sensor with higher performance and much lower power”. The new module has combined the latest version of Gear VR. A sample of Leap Motion’s Mobile Platform will be shown at VR events around the world.

There is currently no information about when gadgets will be available for the mass market.
