GOOGLE, HTC, OCULUS, SAMSUNG and SONY create a global VR association

To unite all possibilities and to reveal “the huge global potential” of VR, four companies: GOOGLE, HTC, OCULUS, SAMSUNG and SONY have decided to create a global VR association (GVRA).

This group believes such work will help in education, training, healthcare, and design development. Each company has their own startup: Daydream (Google), Oculus (same name as the parent firm), Vive (HTC), PS VR (Sony), Gear VR (Samsung) and Starbreeze (Acer). Other big-name firms such as Microsoft and OSVR, which produces the Razer, Leap and Intel, aren’t involved in the association.
