Every developer can upload their app to the Google Daydream VR

Google promised that anyone can make an app for their Daydream VR platform by submitting it through the Play Store; this became available today. Only a small number of Google’s privileged partners could do this beforehand.

Google weakens the control, countenancing natural development of the Daydream VR (не понятно). However, there is risk of decreased software quality. To prevent this, Google has had to list requirements for platform games. By doing this VR software standards will be established.

For example, developers will need to use a 360-degree photosphere and a VR icon instead of simple screenshots prepared for their VR device. Developers are also required to identify Motion Intensity levels to let players know what to expect from the app.
